Drowning

by Chanel Alford   Oct 13, 2005

The walls are closing in
I can't breathe
it's dark as sin
the pain of life without him is starting to seethe
it's dark as the waters surround me
so unhappy as he leaves to be unwhole
because without me that is what he'll be
in a world that is dark as coal
why can't he see that I need him
as much as he needs me
my world is ever so dim
please help me see
why doesn't he notice that he's destroyed both of us
unhappy and sad we both are but I can't force him to be with me
I can only hope that he can comes to his senses and trust
that what was meant to be will be
So I'm drowning
deep in the waters of despair
the feeling is harrowing
and I wonder is my heart damaged beyond repair?
