Insignificant

by Ali   Oct 15, 2005

So small,
forgotten,
unclaimed,
not worth a cent.

So insignificant,
in comparison,
to the heroins of our age,
the ladies who make a difference,

Lost in the hype,
Buried in Burdens,
and expectations for honor,
That i cannot uphold,

I'm like a rope,
strung to tight,
Pulled in different directions by different aspects of my life,
fraying at its ends,

A white dwarf,
a minuscule asteroid,
among the stars,
in a solar system of wonders,

suspended and forgotten,
i am no wonder,
i am no bright flaming star,
just me,

insignificant.
