The Lady In Me

by Yakori bint Muhammed   Oct 15, 2005

2005.

She is a princess in her domain
The domain of purity made of innocence

Her innocence is lavish like the blue sky
The blue sky of eternal gratification

She illuminates womanhood with pride and wisdom
Her pride is her reserveness not coquetry
Her wisdom is gratitude not greed

With an ever persistent beauty
That embodies the African lady

She walks the crimson carpet
To seek for the hidden talent

In her vivacious abode she apprciates life
A perogative lady with a sense of humour

A model to the womenfolk
As she wears the shawl over her shoulders

She says
My shawl is the lady in me
