Face-Down.

by Jesse James   Oct 18, 2005

Face-down in my pillow,
I'm holding my breath,
Nothing I can do,
'Cause I feel there's nothing left.

You whimper and I sigh,
This is my release,
I'm saving myself,
Finally finding peace.

Looking forward to life alone,
I roll you over and touch your lips,
Still warm, I smile,
And give you one last kiss.

The world is clear now,
You're not in my head,
You have lost your hold on me,
Now that you're dead.
