To me it was just like yesterday
when I first looked upon your smile
A memory that has followed me
even though it's been awhile
Years may have come and gone
as they often sometimes do
But I have never lost the memory
Like the memory I had of you

In these words I write for you
and in these feelings I will share
How you touched someone forever
with your love, grace and care
Through our paths have wondered
my thoughts of you still remain
As I still look upon the yesterday
and the feelings I can't restrain

So I hope you take these words
and forever hold them dear
Like the memory I have carried
