We

by myshiningstar14   Oct 30, 2005

We cry ourselves to sleep, because the world is so against us. We're made for one another, so we hold on; hoping our lives will slowly be molded to an end.

We keep ourselves hidden, because no one understands us. Our lives so distant, yet so close.

We lose our minds, because nothing seems to make sense. Our lives were torn apart, and laughed at; our hearts crushed and walked on.

We curse, because it's our way of escape, from the world we so righteously deny. We cut, because it helps the pain. We blame ourselves, because we don't like who we are, and because that's all we know.

We hold on to those like us, because that's who we trust not to
judge us. We write to the world that never writes to us...the world that pushes us away. The more we try to be ourselves, the harder it becomes.

And as nights fall to an end, our days get longer, our tears get bigger, and our hearts get harder!

    Interesting concepts there.
A nicely written bit of prose.

By the way, it's "lose" [as in, to misplace something] not loose [untighten] in "We lose our minds" [line 6].

    I'm rating it 4.
