The Ghost of Me

by Taylor Lyn   Oct 31, 2005

As I lay here in this hell
thinking of your lips
and baby dreaming of your kiss
but you're still laying there with her
thinking of my lips
and baby you're dreaming of my kiss
So why are you still there with her?
you say that you're not
but I'm not stupid baby
I know that you are.
So why won't you let go of my heart?
You turn my world upside down
you tear me apart.
I'm crying baby, do you hear me?
Do you see me?
Do you feel me?
You still want me...
I thought you understood me
I thought I understood you
but baby I'm lost now.
I'm so lost.
I thought you loved me, but
I guess I was wrong
You turn my world upside down
you tear me apart.
I'm crying baby, do you hear me?
Do you see me?
Do you feel me?
You still want me...
You still need me...
You still love me...
So why are you still laying there with her...
beside the ghost of me.

-Kind of like song lyrics just a little bit. Not the best flow, I wrote this when I was 13.

Awh! This was sad. As I was reading it, it kinda seemed like lyrics.. I just think this poem would be great as a song.

Anyways.. Lovely job again. The emotions in this piece were great, and they poured out as I read on. It was amazing. Keep it up! 5/5
