    Ann you are so damn good! This is a wonderful poem. I found myself thinking of the things I have, that were once my moms or grandmothers and the stories that go with them. Your writing makes me think and remember. This poem has perfect flow and tempo too. I love it.

    Very touching poem Ann ...
    It reminds me of my grandma and she use to have one of those sewing machines (with the big peddle on the floor) not sure if it's the same as the one you speak of .. but I use to watch her when I was a child sewing and sewing .....brought back so many happy memories ..(for she passed away a few months back)
    A beautiful poem Ann ...that indeed touched my heart ...

    My aunt has her great great grandmother's peddle sewing machine. This really made me think of all the stories my grandma used to tell me!
