A Place Where We Belong

by ~*~MoNiQuE~*~   Nov 2, 2005

Everyone needs that secluded place where they belong,
Where they can think those thoughts or write that perfect song.

On the pages of their diary, the ink can freely flow,
Expressing everything they think, feel, see and know.

Their confusing life, simply turned to a page of words,
No longer is it as clear as the bees and the birds.

If a stranger was to read the words printed on each page,
They would not value the feelings in each word of joy or rage.

In every secret place a life is content on being hidden,
Whether it be up in their room or somewhere forbidden.

So if we’re feeling vulnerable to the nasty ways of humanity,
We can find a place where we belong and escape this insanity.

Good job! You can do better! Try to make sure you keep the same amount of syllables in each sentence that rhymes with the next! Verses should be approximately the same length and having the same amount syllables allow your poetry to flow from the tongue
