A Picnic To Remember

by Ann Stareyes   Nov 6, 2005

The breeze softly blowing
The sun beginning to set
We planned our picnic at the park
One I knew we'd never forget.

We snuggled under the stars
And I kissed your sweet lips
I threw out the blanket
I was surely losing grip.

We sat and reminisced
For all the time we lost
You always were my heart
Regardless of what life tossed.

Our meal now before us
Fried Chicken and Baked beans too
Chocolate meringue pie
That was just as sweet as you.

Then we created a new recipe
Love filled with desire
Added a whole lot of passion
That drove us completely wild.

We gazed upon the stars
I feed you with delight
Then came those sweet candy kisses
I hated to say good bye.

This picnic was a blast
As we exited under the moon
Now forever in each others heart
Love that will prosper and bloom...

God I can't wait for summer to come back around .....I love picnics ...
Your first stanza really set the mood ...

I think tomorrow night I will have a picnic under the soft gentle breeze
    * of my living room ceiling fan * with candles as my stars .....LMAO ....
Then again romance is what you make it .... I really do miss summer's romantic picnics ....
