My revolution

by Desiree   Nov 11, 2005

I close my eyes and remember a time when the lines under my eyes and the stress throughout my mind held heavy. I recall the tears of pain and grief. My options felt slim and my future seemed bleak. My heart felt challenged and my beliefs sometimes of which I did not speak.
At some moments I could not recognize the woman in the mirror. The queen who let nothing fear her. The mother who perseveres no matter whatever, however, whenever. Those emotions not of my character allowed a thought of change to be conceived. So it grew was born. I no longer would be tormented and torn.
I stood to my feet, inhaled real deep, exhaled negativity, and then carried on positively. A change took place. As I stand here before you let my word ring true. A revolution occurred. It was not televised, but it was understood.
From that moment my reality, perceptions, ideas, and actions would be seen as they should, through the eyes of the woman you see. Seen through the eyes of me.
