Her Poison

by ~*~MoNiQuE~*~   Nov 22, 2005

I cant believe its happening; Im unable to comprehend,
Our irrational fight is becoming something we cannot mend,
Other people have crowded our thoughts and visions,
So much for our pact of together making decisions.

I dont blame it all on you; a heartless b**ch has helped tear us apart,
Shes crawled to your side, doing what she loves while playing it smart,
Pretending to protect you and keep you safe from harm,
But while she is holding your hand, she is slowly breaking your arm.

This girl is poison; so empty, so inconsiderate and fake,
She has a secret life, that puts even her closest friendships at stake,
Her drugs and guys and alcohol can look so fun and outrageous,
But open your eyes and please stop following in her trail of mess.

The change on the outside is visible but I hope it doesnt go beneath,
That inside youre the same person I once knew; youre beautiful underneath,
Her stares, glares, frowns and looks of disapproval are growing part of you,
Each one you give me reflects on what she is secretly putting you through.

Your throwing away something that was whole and complete,
Youve given into her, never knew you were capable of such defeat,
So take off those rose tinted glasses and maybe you will see,
What you have with her, is nothing compared to you and me.

Because when shes finished playing with you and your emotions,
She will toss you away like a tear droplet into the vastest of oceans,
And finding yourself in a world of false promises and unexplained lies,
Nobody will be there to wipe away the confused tears from your eyes.
