Bitter Sweet.

by Ironic Allure   Nov 22, 2005

Tell me something different this time.
A secret,
Like I've not heard it before.
If the words taste sweet,
Tell me you're mine,
Since the tension's not stale anymore.
I guess I have reason to apologise now,
But it hurts
To be much further than this,
Our pictures lack meaning,
And I can't help feeling,
Like it's something I've come to miss.
This all feels clearer than I'd like it to be,
Can you tell?
My benefit succumbs to words and hate.
You'll take it all back,
But when it's too late,
Won't admit that I know you too well.
Scream infidelities like they're going out of fashion,
I blatently understand.
It's bitter and sweet,
But a memory you'll keep,
Just for teaching me all that I am.
Does it feel strange that I'm acting this way?
Is it all so new?
Had a hard time seeing less of you,
I've been right all along.
But you'll say that I'm wrong,
Because you can, for arguments sake.
You're deluding yourself, I'm not sure why,
What are you waiting for?
We've said our piece,
What's left to reep,
Not the first time you've walked out my door.
My patience wears thin with the sight of you.
Don't hesitate.
Your eyes are dead,
And it's all in your head,
This time, it's not my turn to wait.
