It All Feels The Same

It's something about this weather
the white speckles all adrift
we all huddle up together
and we feel the emptiness

Of what we use to know
and who we use to confide in
and now all we do is grow
into what everything already is

It's something about the cold
That makes us feel colser
To who we are and what we hold
But where is our happiness?

When you were a child
You believed in everything
and always smiled;
at the world and the snow

But it'll feel the same forever
While we wait for winter to pass
All huddled up together
Hoping that our lives will last
