In the End

by Fallengod667   Dec 4, 2005

The Solder fights,
and carries on,
Till all is said and done.

But in the end,
who can say,
Just what his battle won.

Cuz maybe he,
had won the fight,
Maybe the whole war.

But in the end,
He came away,
Broken, Tattered, and torn.

He lost his friends,
and family life,
Nothing is the same.

Cus in the end,
his bodies strong,
but his minds completely maimed.

We welcome them,
We give them love,
for doing awful things.

But in the end,
what can we give,
to take the pain away.

Deep and true. I like the end being a rhetorical question, it really makes the reader think about it.
    Great poem
