A New Meaning

by Christina DeWitt   Dec 4, 2005

A day of tragedy
never the same
stupid terrorists
so cruel, yet lame.
Hijacked planes
Boeing 747
crashed into the Twin Towers
and Pentagon building.
Dead bodies
metal and scrap
crying faces
resting on a lap.
Tears of sorrow
never fun
We've caught terrorists
just some.
Crying and screaming
the only heard sound
flowers and candles
all around.
Revenge is in hearts
anger,too.
Never thought we'd ever
feel so blue.
September 11th
and the days leaning
our American flag
has a new meaning.
