If Today Be the Last

by Larry   Dec 7, 2005

We now fly between the moon and sun,
We shall never forget this moment of bliss;
There is no doubt tomorrow shall never come,
Let us sanctify this moment with a kiss!

Grasp tightly to my trembling hand,
Look deeply into my eyes;
Walk with me down Milky Way's strand,
For we shall remain above earthly skies!

We shall momentarily gaze upon the earth,
And witness Saturn's rings age and crumble;
While fire and brimstone destroy our place of birth,
Into unexplored realms we shall gently tumble!

We shall swim amid a lake of lights,
Upon a belt of asteroids we shall play;
I imagine a future of glorious nights,
And an eternity of beautiful days!

We have an opportunity to travel afar,
I shall allow you to aggressively lead;
While quickly hurdling shooting stars,
I will do my best to meet your every need!
