On icy winter days

by Sabine Taylor   Dec 8, 2005

Life is slowly slipping away
Hiding behind blurred windows
On icy winter days

Wide open spaces transfixed in unaware
Snowed in by smooth splendor and unconcern
Bare trees swinging to old Christmas songs

Shades of white engulf the land
Though I know there is a world outside
I hide behind my window in heavenly warmness and security

On icy winter days
Stacked log and cups full of glogg
Bond me to your arms next to the stove

Anyway - good to have you back. Another great poem. It clearly highlights the reason that I like winter so much... Icy Winter Days =)
