It was just yesterday I saw you
You smiled and a smile I also gave
Now not even twenty-four hours later
You're to be put in a grave

How did this happen?
Why did God pick you?
Only seventeen
you had so much more to do

Weighed down by guilt
because I'm still alive
I wished you had listened to me
And did not go see Seether live

Everything is wrong;
This can not be right
I need you here sister
To protect me through the night

And now you are gone
I never got to say goodbye
Your beautiful face so still
The rest of my life I'll be asking why

Why did you get in that car?
Why did that man run the light?
Why do people drink and drive?
Why did God not keep you alright?

Goodbye my beloved sister
Go to heaven and be free
I love you always
Please watch over me

    I wish there were something I could say besides I'm sorry for your loss. I see why you understand my poem as you did..... this is a very heartfelt write and I know you miss her, but she's in a better place now and she is watching over you everyday, talk to her, she'll hear you.... you have your memories and I know you'll treasure them always. May God bless you and your family this holiday season and always......... Keep on writing too, it helps...

    that was such a sad poem from the heart and i bet shes watching over you now hang in there things will get easier over time but you will never forget take care i hope you have someone with you to help you
