My Euphoria of Fear

by Fig   Dec 11, 2005

Let me paint to you
With these words of mine
All I see in my euphoria of fear
That sandy cage of time
Between slumber and stir
Life and death

My euphoria of fear
Those waves
In a colour undescribed
Unimaginable
Those waves of impossible black
Smooth and swell
Spike and spiral into the sky
Black barbs in black skies
Stretch and mould themselves
Ready for me to kiss those thorns
With the taste of sticky rain and blood

Infinitesimal intensions of emotion
Crawling seething everywhere
Those spears and beasts
Spike then smooth
Swelling fluctuations

And all my senses intermingle
I taste the picture of your face
I can smell the hum of your breathing
I glimpse the aroma of your mouth
And we become one too
I am you and you don't know who you are
And I have never known

And then I fall and plunge
Sink and plummet
Screaming, shattering my lungs out
Into a fresh dream
Or the stale dead body of one
Dragged up again

And it has passed
and still i do not know who you are
My euphoria of fear
