Colorless Delusion

by Drew Gold   Dec 14, 2005

With a flick of the wrist
the damascus steel blade
catches a flash of light
it's surface swims
with a complexion
almost glass-like
into the gap between you and i
and you gasp
for one
last
time.

your pupils dilate
the instant that
you're seared
and raped-
deep and
electrified.
while all you do is inhale
then move to exhale
while every single aspect
otherwise
fails.

rekindle the kindred yet dismal hole
that sets your world on fire,
simultaneously
robbing air from your breath
tend to your bitter blossom
of flesh, while your eye-lids
turn humming-bird and
your vision is robbed
slowly fading in
to a sepia tone
of a somehow
colorless delusion.
