Bathed in Loneliness

by HOLLY ARMER   Dec 20, 2005

No one left and no one came
Breaking myself carrying the blame

Loaded down with mistakes and more
as my walls crash to the awaiting floor

Weakened by life and fading trust
Floundering in memories of selfish lust

Caught in hate toward you and her
Our life together becomes a blur

For anger steals it all away
painting my world in shades of gray

Bathed in loneliness it's not the same
cause no one left and no one came

I missed two of your recient poems? dang! i'm so sorry. i don't know how this happened. great poem though. it's simple yet the emotions are put through it to the reader. i actually think that more emotion is through it because you make it so short. beautifully done and so sad.

Nice stuff. Very straightforward, the flow and rhyming in this is good.

I liked how "No one left and no one came" was at the beginning and end of the poem. It made the poem flow nicely and it brought the poem together. Sad but a well written poem.
