Simply Complicated Love

All the reasons why I still love you
Can’t describe the painted highlights of you in my life.
The starry stardust sky still can’t show the tears in my eyes
When you take me on that magic carpet ride
And what would I be without you in my dreams
holding me close protecting me,
loving me when I miss you most
You’re like an addiction and I always need an extra dose

I’m in love with you and that’s all I need to know
I’m in love with you though at times I find it hard to show
Simply complicated love I have for you
And I hope you have it for me too

Even the greatest dream that I dreamt of you
Still doesn’t compare to the smallest moment that we share
And even though the colors of the sunset fade away
My love for you will forever stay
And what would I be without you in my mind
My guardian angel telling me what’s right
Guiding me through all the good and bad days
You make me bright as the shining sun rays

I’m in love with you and that’s all I need to know
I’m in love with you though at times I find it hard to show
Simply complicated love I have for you
And I hope you have it for me too

And when I’m all alone feeling the melancholyness of life
You hold my hands look me straight into the eyes
And you tell me that as long as we are together
Everything will be just alright
And what would I be without you in my life
My lover my fighter my protector my guider
Simply complicated lovable lover teady bear hugger
And butterfly kisser my everything is what you are
And I am nothing if you aren’t

    That's a very sweet and lovely poem. It felt like it was written straight out from the heart. The emotions displayed in these lines were excellent. Thought the lines are straggly, I find that it flows pretty well.

    When I read a poem, I'd always look at the length first then start with the first stanza to see if it's a worth read. But when I started out with the first line, it took me right in the ride. Great stuff. I like the repetitions it sounds somewhat like a lyric.

    Very addictable. Thanks for sharing. Anyway, thanks for your comment on my poem, I appreciate that. =)

    I wrote this song when I was in Belgium and I drew inspiration from my boyfriend who was back home. Reading it 2 years later and after I broke up with him I realized it describe what was suppose to my current boyfriend now. My next poems/songs on love are about him as well. Comments are loved!!
