Our Unity

The trick of it is
diminishment of once was great
maintaining something lesser now
the done thing being adults fate

and so to roads of fractions
for now there is but slight weight
free to wander any action
virginal steps without debate

lesser still could be diminished
disbanding even such frail grace
to ease the passing hearts now finished
until they find new resting place
