Past-tense

by Drew Gold   Dec 29, 2005

And we
always talk in the past-tense

something as intangible
delicately deranged
and unfathomable
couldn't be touched directly

but we'd always put everything in
finding salvation in the
chance
that we might not lose
everything we've put into

recklessly running
in no expressive direction
through expanses of time
and mind

emerging
soundlessly unwanted
in the wrong side
of my brain

but still, awoken the same

because we
had never forgotten
and always talked in the
past-
tense-

scared of the present
so absent and evident.

Wow..that actually made you really think about it. I think we are all afraid of the future i know i am because we don't know where we will be ending up. i really liked this. I guess it is true. we all talk past-tense but never realized it. amazing job. keep it up. keep on writing. love always and forever.

ps: thanks for the comment. means alot to me.
