Names of tonight

by bex   Jan 11, 2006

She wore her name around her wrist
She kept his name inside her palm
For comfort in the night she spoke his name out-loud

Frozen lungs won't stop her heart beat
Poison tongues can't talk sweet words
Venom too deadly to treat

Maybe tonight she'll scream?
Maybe tonight he'll care enough?
Maybe tonight won't be half as cold as she?
