IMAGINOS(The Magna Of Illusion)

by Gary Jurechka   Jan 12, 2006

Then came the last days of May
the vigil of the great sun jester is over,
after dark I love the night
shadow warrior, fallen angel,
wings wetted down, od'd on life itself
moon crazy dancin' in the ruins,
the lips in the hills speak the unknown tongue
of monsters and hungry boys
going through the motions,
on your feet or on your knees,
dominance and submission,
riding the hot rails to hell,
don't fear the reaper, harvester of eyes,
subhuman spectres, cagey cretins,
screams from inside the workshop of telescopes
lonely teardrops are white flags,
you're not the one I was looking for but
I am the one you warned me of,
let go--take me away
the revolution by night,
astronomy, stairway to the stars
some enchanted evening
redeemed in a divine wind,
tending a fire of unknown origin
in the presence of another world,
I am the storm, feel the thunder,
fireworks in the veins, burnin' for you,
light years of love mirrors in thee,
baby ice dog searching for perfect water.

album titles recorded by Blue Oyster Cult)

(Note:This is my variation on 'found poetry'(which I don't really care for) but titles can't be copyrighted and this 'bastardized' version of found poetry is more creative and actually requires some thought and effort, so I did a few pieces using song/album titles of different bands(some worked, some didn't))
