What happened.

We used to talk while working on the play,
but when it was over, so were our conversations. I miss your laugh and the way you would smile. When you would grab my sides and make me laugh. You loved to hear me laugh. I could see in your eyes.

But what happened to those days in class.
When you and I would just sit and laugh.
And now we glance but both turn away,
and when we see each other, we don't know what to say.
Why can't you see I haven't moved on,
my love for you is still not gone.
There are a lot of girls in the way.
They love you in a different way.
I love you for the way you are,
sure you're cute but that's not all.
They love you for your looks,
But I like guys that like to read books.
I still don't know what happened to us,
but I'll be waiting for you to wake up.
And realize that I haven't changed.
Until then, I'll have to sit and wait.
