I've seen this poem on the front page of Poem & Quotes Bill and I have to say I knew this would happen. I've watched the vote on it get steadily worse, it just goes to show that there are a lot of jealous poets out there.

Maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt and suppose that most of them only want to be reading rhyming poetry, but my heart tells me that there are people out there who just feel jealous of your talent and want to see any poem that is put up on a pedestal do badly.

This poem does not deserve so low a rating, but I can't say I'm surprised that it's got it.

But I'm sure you are old enough and wise enough not to give a rat's ass about what vote this gets.

Well done, I think those that know anything about poetry, will appreciate this. And of those who know nothing about poetry, including myself, I'm sure they will find, as i have done, something special about this piece.
