Our song

by Emily parsons   Jan 24, 2006

* More of a short story than a poem*

I went to her house.Late. Very Late. When i saw her i didnt even know if i was happy or wether i just wanted to ignore her..It would have been alot easier, i knew that much.We drank. I didnt want to kiss her,but as i felt her moving towards me , my heart raced fast.Yes , those feelings , every single feeling i had for her was bubbling inside of me.
I wanted her to play our song, i kept quiet.Curled up next to her all night , just how it used to be. Id really missed her, so much and it only hit me then that it would never be the same again.
Next morning. Early. Very Early. Didnt speak much.Got ready , even after months of seeing each other bare it now seemed inappropriate. I picked up my bag and hugged her , knowing full well i was leaving behind the girl i love , ready for someone else to take away.
\" I love you \" i whispered
\" I love you more\" she answered

She shut the door.Gone.I got in the car , and as i cried i listened to \"our\" song.
Just as i should have requested.

*Loves as good as you make it*
