Beautiful sunsets

by Tiny Reader   Jan 24, 2006

Beautiful sunsets that we cannot see,
Because of this distance between you and me.
Problems arising through nightmares we share,
Anxiously waiting for you to be there.

Longing to hold on to the things that we plan,
Praying for loves angels to lend us a hand.
Feelings still strong, it hurts to let go,
So we'll try to hang on, and take things slow.

And when you return, we'll try not to rush,
Eventually we'll learn and regain our trust.
Until that time, I'll think and I'll smile
Knowing our love is still worthwhile.

Feels as though its missing something, lacks depth...I think love poems should be deeply well thought out expressions but again this seems typical of the aabb rhyming schemes you see so frequently on here...you shold have stretched the emphasis on the sunset a lil more...used better imagery...still nice poem all the same.
