For You. For Another.

by Lucy Loves Not   Jan 26, 2006

I want to harvest all your misery
In a tiny glass bottle
To store upon my shelf

Late at night while you
Sweat into my palms
We'll watch the sparks
Fall as they settle down.

Perhaps some day I will
Pour your broken contents
Onto my pillow -

So all your pain will
Rest with me while I dream.

Craving infidelity: You weren't
Here to stain my sheets.

Today I killed a butterfly
He took too long to shed his wings

I drowned your kisses in the shower,
But I've never seen a siren sink.

For you, I would abandon any ship
And breathe the oceans deep.
