Snake Bite

by Kirsty   Feb 2, 2006

Your kiss lingers with me
Like a snake bite to the skin
Suck out the poison you left me with
But your eyes still draw me in
My thoughts surrender to you
They refuse to go away
Sinking lower into these tears
My face is where they lay
And you are the only song
That I just love to hate
But thinking of you all alone
Crying into that state
You are the fixed drug
That I can't live without
The drug in me get used to now
Not having you about
And I'm so sick and tired
Of leaving you behind
And as I pack my history
You are always on my mind
I think to turn the hands back
And start it over new
Even now each word I'm writing
Is all about just you
I never want to stop just encase I lose you...

Love the Imagery attached to this motif of a snake bite. Awesome Level of diction, but maybe if your break this into stanzas it'll just make this piece pop! keep it up I'm looking forward to more pieces from you=)
