What do you see when you look me in the eye?
Every waking hour I know I\'m living a lie
Bright things shine like a dull diamonds to me
Maybe I have just lost the ability to see

Do you see something worth the while?
Something inside, that hasn't been for awhile
Why do you say you know me so well?
I never said anything that I wasn't willing to tell

You say you know me the way you do
You know nothing, you don't have a clue
Yet you persist, you see something inside
Letting me know you will not change your mind

Honestly, why do you care for me?
I am worth nothing, can't you see?
