    Mirroring
    all that I am
    reality settles
    with calm devastation
    as I turn bravely
    to face the crunching force

Superb language, you've used very powerful adjectives and they really create a lot of impact and emphasise the struggle which this poem describes.

one criticism would be that it doesn;t flow very well, the language does but the way it is structured causes too many hesitations throughout the poem

Hi Holly. I have been a member of this site for 11 years now but have been active only since April of this year. I looked for this poem because this is the only poem I have in my memory (I was in high school back then!). This greatly stirred something in me the first time I read this ten years ago. I really hope you get back and inspire us once again. This poem was just so beautifully written.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I truly appreciate them.
I couldn't tell you the last time I've written anything. I miss it so much and really should frequent this site more to get the inspiration to write again.
