The Beginning Of The End

by Bradley   Feb 6, 2006

So I leave it up to you
Like an unopened invitation on a stained coffee table
Departing off your own back, your gifted with free will
But a decision thats stamped with anger isnt always final
So a thorough inspection is called for

Is it worth giving up
Could you look at my back as I disappear out of your sight
Will you unhook your heart from mine with unreserved ease
Or will it be like deciphering a complex lock with a hundred keys
Are you really in what you call love

I know youre confused
I liberally admit that I am also suffering from uncertainty
And waiting it out is a hurt that can only be explained as a form of torture
Waiting to see if it will recover and pick back up where we left off
But hope is such a fragile thing

We both know that its hard
And that fates twisted sense of humour comes into play heavily with us
So is a stubborn middle finger to the inevitable worth this pain
Or do you want take back your promise of lasting love
Heres your chance

Your get out of jail card
You may play it now but be quick as regret is unavoidable
But with any emotional addiction, it can be beaten with time
Lonely as we feel without each others touch its sad to say our desire will fade
So is it your get out of jail free time now

Or will you endure this
And see through this transparent haze of uncertainty where an end is a left or right
An end or a new start with one path that is predestined by time and fate
Will your impatience overwhelm your longing to see the future
Well Im afraid the latter isnt possible

But if I were to hold your hand
And follow you through the haze until we reach the fork in the road
And look into your eyes and silently ask for your answer
I think we would both choose the same road already knowing our destiny
And it ends with love
