A Few Hours

Even though it is not fare
that she had to leave the world today
shell be looking down upon us all
telling us just what to say

how she loved us all so deeply
meant every word right from her heart
and that if she had another chance
she would stay and never part

She meant it in every tear drop
For everything that theyd been through.

This cancer held grip to her fears
She wore it everyday
Though, you could never see it
She hid it all away

"I know I wasnt perfect" she cried

To be the person you wanted
To act like all the rest"

I hid a lot of things inside
The biggest, I had masked
It was embroidered deep within me
And I never sought to ask

She was scared to love
Cause she knew if she did
It would bring u closer to her heart
And when she left the world so soon
Youd all be torn apart

She didnt want you to feel the pain
What she felt each and every day
Only to remember her happiness
Before god took her on her way.

The light I once had within my life
Is slowly becoming dim
Time seems to be ticking faster
Every second my heart beats within.

I have only a few more hours
Before I say my last goodbye
