Masquerade

by Kaitlin Kristina   Feb 24, 2006

I'm not the first,
I'm not the last,
Nor are you,
My demons cast.

We're not the first to fake romance,
Hold me baby,
Give "love" a chance.

I'd rather have what we share that's fake
In each others games we do partake.

You know I'm lonely. Most girls are.
Indulge me, lover, band aid to scar.

You want sex, I want affection.
I'll give you lust for your attention.
I'll be coy and you'll act strong,
Indulgent are your sinful arms.

We'll both fake sleep, we'll lie awake,
All you are is another mistake.

All I am is another notch,
The cuddles are done now,
Says the watch.

The trade is done. The bargain made.
No longer play out this masquerade.

You wont stay.
I wont sleep.

I gave myself.
Now I'm weak.

You're now gone.
Away drove the cab.
Leave another boy to heal your scab.
