Reality hit us hard.

Reality had hit us hard that time,
When you told me you'd be gone
Life would never be the same
Too bad it had taken me so long

You see I didn't want to say goodbye
I thought if I didn't you wouldn't leave
Like all friendships we think they'll last
But like everyone else I was naive.

We wanted to remain friends
We would write and call too
But we also said friends forever
But of course it wasn't true

I miss your laugh
And our special talks
The days we spent together
Our late night walks.

You were always there for me
You were like my twin
Whether it was good or bad
We stuck together through think and thin

And when my life was in danger
But I didn't have a clue
You were there to pick up the pieces
You always came through.

I'll never forget the night, it was so nice
You finally told me what was going on
It was the first time I could see into your soul
It was the night we had talked until dawn

I remember crying on your shoulder.
You told me it would be alright.

That's why I'll always remember that night
