Too Far

by ~*Ley*~   Mar 3, 2006

I see you standing there
Looking alone and in despair
Yet you push on a little farther
Even as your heart starts to wither

Hungry and neglected
You feel you've been rejected
So you push on a little more
Wishing things were as before

Twisted and contorted
Life goes on unsorted
Yet still more you bear
Ignoring your body's tear

I hear you on the telephone
You're desperate and alone
Again you lift up that bar
Unaware that it's gone too far

I see you finally break down
In your multitude of tears you drown
You've lost all of who you are
Because you raised the bar too far
