Broken Shell

Broken Shell
Truly the pain is great
The moral is wrong
And the death is never ending
Only understanding war
Only brings more war
Only knowing pain
Only brings more pain
These verdicts are as plain as you or me
Knowing nothing of love
Can never bring you love
Wishing for death is the only release
Relish in the simple fact that the sun rises
That in this world people, have a chance to find love
But the pain is to great
The overwhelming hate in this world
I drown in its very essence
Love opens many a gate
But the hate has shattered them all
This world has corrupted the only thing I have ever loved
Changed the only person I truly love
Twisted and coiled around her
Changing her more and more
Soon the pain and hate will win
And my love will no longer exist
Just a cold and hardened shell of a woman
It will rip the fire out of her eyes and it will turn her once lovely heart to ash
Chasing away the lightness of her steps
And the beauty of her words
The once lovely form rotting and decaying
Yet people call it lovely
I call it sick
Truly the pain is great
And the moral is wrong
And death is pending
Draining the life from us day to day
The tabloids spreading the sickness
They share their sick and twisted views of beauty
They share the poison and people love it
Warping the minds of the populous
Everyday they come out with a new morbid way
To make yourself more striking
Yet it makes you look frightening
Caking your face with some much filth
Starving yourself to fit in the new size 0 dress
My love gone and never to return
Only that destroyed shell
The tainted and empty vessel that once house a pure and lovely soul
Truly the pain is great
And the moral is wrong
And death is only the beginning
