Treasured Soul

by Kaylee   Mar 14, 2006

The treasures that your soul had spent
Come reaching through the darkness alone
Bring forth the memories you recall most excellent

Lost your dignity through paying the devil rent
Your tattered robes enclose the withered bone
The treasures that your soul had spent

Valentine lovers urge you to repent
Reaping the heartaches you have sown
Bring forth the memories you recall most excellent

Soon the moonlight shines on the tent
You force to envelope the reminders you own
The treasures that your soul had spent

You may know what the lovers meant
Though the inscriptions may be set in stone
Bring forth the memories you recall most excellent

The angels gather messages sent
Which dismiss the lies the devil's blown
The treasures that your soul had spent
Bring forth the memories you recall most excellent

Wow, Kaylee. This poem was very good. Not just because of the great descriptions and wording sense. But also because of how you kept the entire poem the same the whole way through. Your use of only two rhymes in the entire poem makes it magnificent. It does not sound forced or anything. Good job.
