Courage

I hate this world and all its contents,
And what it has become today.
It is so selfish, careless and ignorant,
And that I generously say.

The world was once a rose,
But now is choked by its own thorns.
Its beauty overshadowed by evil,
And caught between Satan\'s horns.

I attempt to show no fear,
When facing the worlds adversity.
Truth be told I am petrified,
To face the worlds perversity .

I look to God for courage,
But so much I do not understand.
I am lost in the worlds darkness,
But I am comforted to find the lords hand.

Although I do not see him,
I can feel his firm grasp.
Feeling this I should be fearless,
But at the site of pain I gasp.

It isn\'t lack of faith,
For I well and truly believe.
It is my ignorant human nature,
Trusting in what it perceives.

So Finally I will say,
God forgive me for being afraid.
I tried to be a courages souljah,
But in my heart fear managed to raid.

    Hey anton! how are you?:) thats great:P lol i listened to that song-great choice of music! i really liked it and i see how u related it to my poem. i like the singers voice a lot, its so soothing. my fave part is
    And when you're feeling all alone and you can't go on

    And when you think you've gone too far

    My arms are open wide
