Gallery Wishes

GALLERY WISHES

I hope one day to be captured,
Painted among the lilies and long grasses,
My spirit encompassed in a canvas portrait.
To be displayed in a gallery,
Alongside contemporary installations,
Aboriginal birchbark etchings,
Andy Warhol's nonsense sculptures,
And Renaissance nudes on yellow sofas.
I hope one day to be explored by
Notebook-toting students, culture-fiends,
And passerbys, each
With a different take on my self,
My identity, my acrylic colours.
I hope one day to be captured,
Immortalized among the histories.

It's really interesting, Krys! I really liked the style and the way you made it formal and casual at the same time...maybe I'm rambling...it's late...don't mind me....
