You cant protect me forever

You can't protect me forever, I'm getting stronger
I want to know what it is like, to be on my own so don't hold me back
I want to learn from my mistake I know I can do it but I want to do it
On my own as I grow older I understand what to work for you can’t protect me
For ever I need to do this on my own
