Still just a child

by ..::Angel of your darkness::..   Mar 22, 2006

Sitting in the playground
Rocking on the swing
I smile to myself
As I gently sing

No ones around
I find I'm alone
But I'm happy
It's better than home

The breeze brushes my skin
And it comforts me so
I get as high as I can
And then I let go

I fall onto the grass
Daisies smile at the sun
Never in my life
Have I had so much fun

I roll over and over
Down the long hill
Feelings the bumpy ground below
Gives me such a thrill

I'm a child again
No worries or fears
All problems that existed
Magically disappeared

The sun warms my body
So I don't feel the cold
The beauty around me
Lifts up my soul

Laughing inside
I gaze up at the sky
The happiest I've ever been
Was the day I said goodbye
