Superstar

My aunt has been diagnosed with cancer they said she had 3 weeks to live ....4 years ago...so i wrote this t keep her chin up

Superstar

Just because the race is ending
Doesn't mean you walk the last few steps
Lifes not suppose to be easy
There have been times weve all wept

But its there to make us stronger
Not to break us down
Its hard to share a smile
When youre stuck behind a frown

For every time a tear
Drops down your warm red cheek
It breaks a little part of you
Make you that bit more weak

When you see a smile
And it gives you that sudden lift
And it warms you like the brightest sun
Youre grateful for gods most special gifts

Dont give up on what you've got
Dont break your wounded heart
Dont let it beat you
Or let it tare you apart

Although this is not the beginning
Its also not the end
You're a winner to have come this far
A superstar...my friend!!!!

Very nice poem, I thought it was very inspirational, even though I'm not very close to any of my aunts I will never take any of them for granted, in fact I will take no one for granted even my neighbor(I've never met my neighbor) but I need to met her so I can begin another relationship so she will feel happy. you should to, but I'm sure you have already thought about that...
