Do you wear yours to show support?

A new fad out these days
Of these brightly colored wristbands
Still the question comes up
Do you wear yours to show support?

Look at me, I have 5
The next boy says
Yea, but I have 6 more!
Do you wear them for support?

Do you support the cause
Of looking for a cure
Do you wear them so you
can say you are just to cool

Millions sold
Everywhere you turn
People wearing them but
Do you wear them for support?

I wear mine
Everyday that I can
I support the cause
Of finding a cure

For the men and women
That have died, for those
people that have fought
and for those who have survived

Wear the colors
Feel the strength
Stand up proud
For those who cant by themselves

Wear it with support
Not as another Fad
Say livestrong
Not as an act

    I loved this stanza! And the whole poem, it's true alot of people do not support their cause, alot of people don;t even know what their bracelet's for! It's sad, it really is. But I'm glad to see someone's finally adressing this, and in a fantasic poem, great work, 5/5

    I agree. I have one a I where it for my support of Breast Cancer b/c my grammi had Breast Cancer and almost died I am very thankful she didnt. Awesome poem 5/5!

    I totally agree with you. In a way it is good that bands became such a fashion accessory because it raised more money for causes but people forgot the meaning of them.
