Another Day

by Bill Turner   Mar 22, 2006

My mood is black like the sky
Tears well up in my eyes
If I were a bird, I would fly
Escaping the pain filled skies

People trying to paint me black
Each stroke a darker shade of blue
Get them off of my back
I want to be a lighter hue

Passing their misery unto me
As I smile in their face
This place I want to flee
Feeling somewhat out of place

I dare not show a subtle frown
No sign of weakness shall they see
I am ten feet tall and wear a crown
It is all perception that becomes reality

As day turns into night
Troubles will be driven away
My world will be all right
Tomorrow starts another day

    Bill,

Sorry I have not commented on your poems in a while, I hope that will change. This is such a well penned piece, but sad and melancholy.

    Best regards,

    Steve
