Sunset over Lake Erie

by jed   Mar 25, 2006

The radiant fire of creation meets its nemesis
without struggle, melding into harmonious
conjugation, golden yellow-orange spreading
Blending cavorting wisps of flame in a dance
as old as time, water leading
Shortly, subjugated radiance,as if glimpsed
through the glass of a furnace funnels back
to join the orb, subdued.

Beautiful poem, I agree with the Shobhana, I like how it was ambigous about the exact place but the setting wow, definatly brings you there! I don't know if that made sense but it did in my head lol

Woowwww! this is fantastic! i love the way you described it in the poem without naming it anywhere.

it would have taken me a few minutes to derive what you were saying if i'd missed the headline!

    lovely once again.

    good luck and peace
